About Daniel
Having skated for many years - on the ice and rollers - I have competed both nationally and internationally. Alongside this, I have always maintained a love of film, which resulted in me studying for my Film And Television Production Bachelor's degree.
As a skating camera operator, my work offers a unique perspective and sense of immersion. I not only film on the ice but on roller skates too, meaning that I can beautifully capture a wide variety of dynamic content. The equipment I can use ranges from handheld gimbals to full Steadicam rigs, depending on the project requirements.
About The Ice Capture
The seeds of The Ice Capture were sewn back in late 2018 filming fellow skaters on a phone gimbal. In early 2019 the equipment was upgraded to industry standard and shortly after The Ice Capture established itself on ITV's Dancing on Ice production.
Over the last couple of years, The Ice Capture has expanded in numbers and has begun to work with brands and companies such as BBC Sport, BBC Three, British Ice Skating, Peak Ice Camps, Jackson Ultima, The Ice Theatre of London and many more.
The Ice Capture has also branched out internationally, working with some of the world's top figure skating coaches athletes including European Men's Champion: Adam Siao Him Fa and Finnish Dance Champions: Juulia Turkkila and Matthias Versluis.
